1. Stowmarket Rental Agreement
All vehicle rentals through Stowmarket are governed by a detailed Rental Agreement issued at booking confirmation or when you collect the vehicle. The agreement sets out specific terms, conditions, insurance cover, charges, and your responsibilities for that rental. If a conflict arises between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
2. Stowmarket Eligibility
To rent a vehicle from Stowmarket, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old (age limits can differ by vehicle type for Stowmarket rentals, and drivers under 25 may incur additional charges). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photo identification and proof of address or other documentation required when collecting the vehicle.
3. Booking and Payment — Stowmarket
- Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Stowmarket office. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. 4. Vehicle Collection and Return — Stowmarket
- You must inspect the vehicle thoroughly when collecting it from Stowmarket and report any existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed. Return the vehicle in the same condition as collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. New damage will be assessed and charged accordingly.
5. Insurance and Liability for Stowmarket
- Basic third-party insurance is included with all Stowmarket rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount specified in the Rental Agreement.
6. Cancellation and Changes — Stowmarket
Stowmarket's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Refer to your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for the specific terms that apply to your reservation. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.
7. Stowmarket Prohibitions
You must not use the rented vehicle in Stowmarket for:
- Use of any vehicle in Stowmarket for illegal purposes or activities. Racing, rallying, off-road driving or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting the vehicle to third parties or permitting drivers not authorised on the rental agreement. Operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use of the vehicle for purposes for which it was not intended.
Violating these restrictions in Stowmarket may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges.
8. Stowmarket Liability Limits
To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Stowmarket will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant services in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Governing Law — Stowmarket
These Terms are governed by English and Welsh law in respect of Stowmarket. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Stowmarket Terms Amendments
Stowmarket may amend these Terms at any time. Such amendments take effect immediately upon posting on the Stowmarket website. Continued use of Stowmarket services after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
